Daddy Dear
Years ago, my Dad was in and out of the hospital for a period of about three months. He was in his late 70's and had lived an active life. The entire family began to realize that his time to pass would soon be at hand. He was a real loving Dad, working and caring for his family and we all loved him so. He and my Mom had five daughters. My sister and I were single, never married and my other three sisters had husbands and families.
Early one morning around 3:30 am I felt as though someone was in my room. I wasn't frightened
so much as curious as to how anyone could be in my apartment, much less my bedroom. I turned on the bedside lamp and reached for my glasses. No one was there and nothing unusual in sight.
Thought about my Dad and hoped that he was okay. I looked at the alarm clock and realized I had just a few more hours until it was time to get up for work. I figured I might have dreamed that feeling that woke me up. I drifted back to sleep. An hour or so later I received a phone call from my
eldest sister saying that Dad has passed away a while ago and that she and her husband were with my Mom to comfort her. The family gathered and soon I found out that the nurse found my father between 3:15 and 3:45 the morning of his death. Then I recalled that incident when I felt as though someone was in my room. I told this to my family. My single sister looked at me and said something similar happened to her. Something, a feeling rather than a noise, woke her up that morning about the same time. We just looked at each other and said simultaneously, "It was Dad, keeping an eye on us." I truly believe he wanted to see that his unmarried "girls" were doing okay before he progressed on and he'd keep an eye on us until we all meet again on the other side.
Sister's Love
In June of 1992 my parents and I went out to visit my sister for a week. Kathy was getting a divorce and we came out to help her take care of a few things. It was great to get to see her again and a nice visit, but none of us knew it would be our last visit ever.
It took us 2 days to drive home (I was sick the whole way). I had a feeling that we shouldn't leave yet. When we arrived at home police officers were waiting for us along with a friend of ours. Kathy had been worried about her "husband." She sent her children to stay at a friend's house. While she was home alone cleaning, he snuck into the house and shot her in the back and the back of her head, killing her instantly. He went to the phone and called 911, admitted what he'd done, said if he couldn't have her, no one else could either, set down the phone and killed himself.
As her belongings had begun to arrive back in Illinois, my family couldn't go through it. I kept having dreams of her with her Crystals and Books, I had to find them. When I went to find them two particular pieces were missing. About a week later I was at work and out of nowhere noticed a little box from the metaphysical shop you took me to was now on my desk. (It was never at my
office!) On the lid was the name, address and phone for the store. I asked my assistant if she had known where it came from and she'd never seen it there before. I had to call them and ask about my sister's jewelry. Sure enough, they had the two pieces in for repair and shipped them to me without
any reservation. I believe she had led me to them.
Ever since then at the toughest times in my life I have felt her presence, dreamed with her and meditated with her there. She is ever present in my life. A true blessing!
The Love of a Friend
I used to take care of race horses and one year while working for a trainer I met a man named Randy, he was hired to be the second trainer. It was very strange but from the minute he came to work there it was like we had know each other our whole lives. This was like a brother sister relationship, at the time he had just separated from his wife and I have a boyfriend for the
past 10 years.
One evening my boyfriend and I had gotten into an argument and he had left so I went to the ranch bar to have a drink. When I got there it was pretty empty, only Randy his friend and the bartender, Debbie. I just went and sat in the corner with a glass of wine, he could see I was upset so he came and sat by me. After a while I told him about the argument, he was always such a gentleman he sat and listened to me complain for what seemed like all night. As the night progressed he told me he was going on a blind date the next night and that he was excited about it. I went home after venting my anger and things where fine. The next morning I helped him pick out his clothes for the date then I fed my horses and went home. When I got to the barn the next morning I noticed that his car was not there and the first thing I thought was "OH, someone got lucky!" But as the morning went on I noticed the other people I worked with seemed to be avoiding me.
About an hour after I got there my boss pulled me to the side and told me that Randy had been killed in a car accident on his way to the date. I don't remember anything after that just going home to bed and crying. Now this part I remember every detail as if it were yesterday. I had a dream I was a
police woman and I walked into this bar to arrest a guy, the bar was shaped like an upside down U and when I walked in the guy was the only one there. I walked to him with my hand on my gun and as I went to tap him on the shoulder I looked over and there sat Randy. I asked him what he was doing in my dream and he pulled me into a bathroom, he said "I just had to let you know how
much I love you and that I am okay. Tell everyone (he named all the people we worked with) that I love them and that I loved working with you all. "
At this point he hugged me and I pushed him back and I just kept saying 'Oh my god you are here I can smell you!" I was pulling at my shirt and I couldsmell him all over me. Then he said he had to let me know he was OK. As he walked out of the bathroom I looked up and I was at the exact point of the dream that I was before he pulled me to the bathroom, getting ready to tap the guy on the shoulder. I woke up in a panic I had gone to sleep with no shirt on, and could not smell him anywhere. I went to the barn the next morning and told them all this and we all had a good cry but it made it so much easier to cope with his death. To this day I will not sleep without a shirt on.
Voices from our Guardian Angels
The day he passed I was at my parent's house. My dad was in the back yard and opened the door and told me to come outside. When I did he showed me a baby bunny and it was dead. he said, "Isn't that sad?" and I just blurted out, without even thinking, "Daddy, Grandpa just died." About ten minutes later my grandma called and told me that grandpa had died. The next year my great
grandma was very sick. I was having dinner when a voice in my head said, "Call your Grandma! She's all alone and sad." I immediately picked up the phone and when I heard my grandma's voice all I could say was that I was so sorry. She told me that her brother had just called telling her great grandma had died. Last year I was on my way to work, and since there was construction I decided to go another way. Something kept telling me not to, but I was in a hurry. About a mile away from my work I had a horrible feeling of dread, but kept driving. About a minute later a dump
truck pulled out in front of my car and I hit it. I was horribly injured. I know now that it was a guardian angel trying to get me to go the other way. I'll listen next time.
Son's Visit
One night a friend of mine, who was paranormally gifted, had a dream about her nephew. He was standing in front of a large white house with a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers. He was looking straight forward and kept saying the sentence:
"I am so happy, Trish (my friends' name), I am so
happy... " over and over again. The next morning she woke up and she heard the phone ringing. A few minutes later her mother came upstairs and told her that aunt Hilda just called to tell them that her son committed suicide.
