Guardian Angels

First you must know that this story is completely true. Second I must tell you that when my dad was a child, about 8 or 9, 1 of his best friends parents had commit suicide in our back bathroom.

Well, it was a couple days after Christmas, December 27th, 1999 to be exact, and my mother was letting us kids have a little party where we would all exchange gifts. My friend Brittany, and my 2 cousins Caitlin and Anika were there as my guests, and my 2 twin brothers invited only their closest friend Tony.

It was great in the beginning, we all watched movies and exchanged our gifts while eating leftover Christmas cookies and food. We decided to go to bed after watching our last movie, Austin Powers, at about 1:00 am. Of course, being the girls that we are, we stayed up talking about guys for half a house before drifting off to sleep. My Mom had turned the heat up to 80 degrees so none of us would be cold, so we had little for blankets.

At 2:30 am, exactly an hour after we had all finally gotten to sleep, I woke up, and my room was FREEZING. I was all twisted in the blanket that had been over the 4 of us, shivering. I sat up and noticed that my light was on, and heard sobbing, so I went to see what it was. Anika was sitting just outside of my door crying. When I asked her what was wrong, she wouldn't tell me in front of everybody, so she took me into the bathroom. There she told me that she had seen a white figure walking through my room and had stopped when it saw her looking at it and started talking to her in a womanly voice, but it was too blurry to hear. Anika was so scared she called her mother and had her come pick her up. Caitlin and I had both woken up after Anika, but Brittany was still sleeping. We tried to wake her up to tell her to come into the living room, being afraid to stay in my bedroom, but she wouldn't budge, so Caitlin and I covered her up with extra blankets, and went to the living room.

We woke up the next morning and watched The Haunting, when something in my head said clear as a bell 'Go check your window, check on Brittany.' Something must have been said to Caitlin also because we both looked at each other and darted for my room. It was even colder than before and in the dark of the morning (we woke up at 5 and couldn't sleep again) we saw a bluish tinted light hovering over Brittany and unlike when we had left, my window was wide open along with the curtains and the blind. I don't know why this happened with her but it did, so we woke her up and she started coughing and brought her to the living room.

New Years passed and all my friends and relatives were still kind of scared to sleep over at my house, but less then before. On January 6th, I stayed home from school. I didn't have much wrong with me, but I had a sinking depressed and distressed feeling in my stomach all day. I was panicky and couldn't sleep the whole night, so I just took the day off.

I didn't finally start to drift off to sleep until about 7 PM, but then I smelled smoke. The panic feeling instantly set back in and I darted up and saw flames rising from the back of our dryer. I ran down the stairs when I heard screaming, and saw smoke filling the basement. I could hear Devon screaming still, so instead of going back up, I went down to get him. Well, the other twin, Derek, didn't know we were down there and he closed the door, blocking off any oxygen source we had. I finally saw Devon, he was OK, but panicked, as was I. My thoughts swerved and I threw up all over the floor from the mix of all my feelings.

Just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, a blast of air hit my face as my Mom opened the door and said 'if anyone is down here, you need to come up,' and Devon and I could NOT move. We were almost frozen, shaking and coughing not knowing what to do. Just then, it felt like someone was carrying me up the stairs. I looked below myself and couldn't see that anyone was touching me, but I quickly grabbed Devons hand. My legs were bent as I had fallen down, but my knees weren't touching the stairs as I was carried up them, dragging my brother behind me.

We all got out of the house safely, and went to stay with Anika. We wondered if what she had seen on December 27th was trying to warn us that something would happen, and wondered if the ghost she had seen had also been the one responsible for the reason my brother and I are still alive. My grandfather died a few days later, and the only thing my mother could think above the sadness what the fact that she was only picking out one coffin instead of 3.

But that is not the only experience we've had with something helping us. Last winter, almost the EXACT date, my father, who is a VERY heavy sleeper, woke up to the faintest of beeping noises. He went down the stairs to the basement, once again, to see that our carbon monoxide detector had been going off, and it was at 127. He quickly got us out of the house, but none of my family would have been here right now if something hadn't of woken him up.

It is now October, and we haven't been helped by our guardian ghost, but every now and then when you are by the back bathroom, she likes to flick the lights on and off a few times ... probably just to let us know that she's still with us.

A mother's Presence

I must start by saying I don't really believe in the "paranormal" stuff. I must say though this "occurrence" sure makes me wonder.

My mother and I were always really close. I was about 20, I had a five year old son when this happened. I was living in KY with my father whom I had just met months before. My mother who was back in PA and I had a slight fallingout with her. I hadn't talk to her the whole 3 months I lived there. On November 7th of 98 I woke up at about 2 am.

Did you ever notice when you lay in bed no matter how dark out there is still a certain glow or light about your room? Well, it was gone and it seem like thick blackness. Not a cloud or the grim ripper none of that silliness. Just such a darkness I've never experienced. I laid frozen in my bed for 2 hours. I just kept thinking something is wrong. I thought maybe my son or dad. Maybe I'm being forewarned of a break in. It took ever ounce of courage for me to get up and run into my dad. I yelled at him to get up. Knowing someone else was awake I was a little calmer. I checked on my son he was fine. I said "dad maybe I left the back door unlocked check it"!

He came to find out I left the oven on. (Now wait that's hardly the end of this story) I felt relieved like "well maybe that was my brains way of reminding me" but still I felt uneasy. The next day I call my boyfriend telling him about this weird experience. We were being silly making light of the situation and I said "oooh what if it was the angel of death coming to warn me that my Mom or someone was gonna die" I was really only being silly. Sure enough I get a phone call 2 am that night my mother was struck and killed crossing the street.

Well, I fly back home to be with my younger siblings and family. And my cousin and my moms boyfriend start telling us a story. November 7th around 2am same night of my incident my mother's boyfriend was awakened by her sitting on the end of the bed talking to herself. He said "babe r u OK?" She still looking asleep replied,"he's death, He said he is going to take one of us soon but he can't tell me who" My mothers boyfriend being the serious fellow he is just blew it off. My mother had no recollection of this the next day. She did however that night call my grandmother saying she knew she was gonna die crying. She was not herself.

Grandmother's Message

This event happened in 1995, right after my grandmother passed away. My Mom was there during her death from a long battle with pancreatic cancer, but it was not enough for my Mom. She and my grandmother had a split between them from past events (too long to get into now) and when she died, it was as if the chapter was still not closed for my Mom. She still wondered if my grandmother loved her as much as she loved my mother's siblings. She wanted a sign from her, that she was watching over us.

One night in the summer of that same year, I had a dream that my grandmother was in my mother's house walking around. The only strange part of the dream is that her feet were bleeding. It was so vivid that as soon as I woke up, I called my Mom to let her know. She was in shock. She had awoke early in the morning, about 5 am or so (this is on the morning after my dream), and found a large puddle of blood in the middle of the kitchen floor. She inspected her pets to make sure they were OK, but no one was bleeding. There was nothing dripping and no trails, tracks or drips coming from the spot. There was simply only a puddle of blood. No explanation was ever found and it never happened again.

Was this the blood of my grandmother returning to let Mom know she was OK and there for her? Why did she send the message to me and not my Mom? It definitely helped my Mom (and me)! To believe that we go on after life.

Father and Son

I was 9 years old and hadn't seen my father for a couple of months, I spoke to him the night before briefly. He told me that we would spend time together the next day. I told my dad that I would like to go to the arcades for a day. He promised we would the next day. I was very exited and got to bed early that night. An unusual thing happened. For the first time in a while I had a dream. In this dream I was talking to my father. He told me that he was sorry but he couldn't take me to the arcades.

Well, I woke up the next morning bright and early. I headed to the living room to see my mother talking to my grandfather. I then saw my grandfather walk off, this seemed odd because my grandfather didn't stay to talk to me. My mother then told me to sit down. She had to tell me something, it was at that time I blurted out....'DAD IS DEAD ISN'T HE,' my mother then replied yes. My family was generally secretive about the death so about 2-3 years later my curiosity ran high and I began to snoop around for clues about my fathers death. I found a copy of his death certificate and found he was involved in a car crash and was rushed to hospital but died during the night.

To this day it is my firm belief that what seemed an insignificant dream may have been a message from my father just after his death, or was it just a psychic flash in the form of a metaphorical dream? I am not sure but the timing of the dream was just spooky, and even though I am a firm realist I always have the feeling that what I experienced was beyond realistic explanation.

A Young Girl from the Past

A month ago a little girl came to me in human form, She was wearing a white dress, She was very sad. I had to do a spell on her as I am wiccan to keep her from fading away. I asked her what she wanted. She said she was cold and needed a blanket. I gave her a blanket and she went away. Later she was back. She told me through an ouji board that she been sailing a long time ago when a storm struck and her parents died. She got hypothermia and died as well. The land we lived on presently was covered with water at that time. She came back for a blanket as she was cold. A week later the blanket I had given her disappeared. We could not find it. I did another spell so she could rest in peace. I told her I loved her like a friend and would miss her greatly, but she should leave and find her parents in the Holy Land. After that I did see or feel her presence again. I know she is happy wherever!
