President Washington's Home

While visiting President Washington's home. My daughter who at the time was in her 30's. experienced an unnerving moment. While walking up the stairs, in the back of the home, the ones that exit the doorway that faces the river. A lady in early dress, and hair uncombed, in a state of anxiety, descended the stairs pass my daughter out the door and pass the driveway. My daughter was able to follow her by sight till she crossed the drive way. This happening was not a person or visitor to the mansion, besides floating down the stairs she was transparent. The doorway was visible through the form. In light conversation I ask the Park Guard of any reported strange events in the mansion and was told No. I did not go any further.

Boy in the Window

It was a late night when my brother and I had stayed up late to watch t.v. when we had discovered that a loud thumping noise came from the back room. We screamed and said Mom come see there's a ghost in the room. Well, she said let me go and check it out so she did and she said that she didn't see any thing. Well, we knew that we heard it and so we had decided to go and sleep in the living room. Then that's when we had discovered a small boy about 6-or-7 years old was in the room I said it's just my imagination but then my brother said look sis there's a little boy. I cried out to my Mom to come here and hurry but she was sleeping hard. So we said to each other let's get out of this freaky house man! Then all of a sudden the little boy disappears out of no were. So we went to sleep then the next day we explained to our Mom what we seen, and heard we (or she) had moved about 22 miles away. But when we pass by the old house the little boy is at the back room window)

Scary Eyes in the Window

One day I was at my house in the back woods of Indiana by myself while my parents were at work. It had been a few hours since I had woken up so I decided to take a shower, while I was in the shower I heard my dog Marty barking, so I got out of the shower to see what the noise was I didn't see anything so as I started to go back and all of a sudden I heard it again. I was frightened at the moment, but knowing me I wanted to see what was going on--I looked through the blinds and was terrified at the site of another pair of eyes gazing right back into mine. I was so frightened before I called my neighbor for help I grabbed a knife from the kitchen, then I called my neighbor Champagne to come down as soon as possible as she approached the driveway the intruder ran into the woods. We called the police and they came but they never found them since then, to this day I am so terrified to look out my windows.

Indian Burial Ground

My family and I live on top of an Indian burial ground. It was last summer that the spirit got very uneasy. He would sit there and throw things at you and when you tried to sleep he would lift up the end of the bed and slam it on the floor. Well, one night it was Christmas Eve and we where decorating the tree when the tree just started shaking and every thing fell off and some of the ornaments melted on the floor in front of us.

After we saw the tree violently shaken and the ornaments melt on the floor, my Mom and i went to go get something to clean up the mess. We went into the bathroom and the door shut behind us and the light flickered there standing in the reflection of the mirror a dark figure of a man was standing behind us but when we turned around to see what it was there was nothing there and the room became very cold.and the little drops of water that sit on the sink's edge started taking shapes of animals they looked like something an Indian would make. So after that, we found out the lands history. But my family being Indian to we could do a ritual that gets rid of the spirit, or what ever it is.

Ghost that Watching Over You

When my Aunt was little my grandmother would feel very weird at night, so she would turn in her bed toward the door and see a big tall Amish guy. She couldn't see his face or hands. She would tell him that her family is all right and he would leave. My Aunt was reincarnated, so my grandmother found out that the Amish guy use to be my aunt father in another life. After my aunt graduated from elementary school the guy never came back. He knew that she was safe with her new family.

Ghost in the Chair

When my Mom was younger she went over to visit one of her friends and when she walked into her house. My Mom said she almost ran out screaming. There by her friends heater was sitting on a chair was this foggy person. She asked her friend what and her friend said oh don't worry about him he's nice. Her friend told that he walks her and her brother to the bathroom at night. The next time my Mom went over there he was gone. She asked her friend what happened to him and she said I don't know he just disappeared. Later on that year my Mom friends mother found out by some neighbors that had been around a long time that he use to live in the house and he died there, but his spirit  wasn't going to leave until he found out that these people weren't going to trash his house.

Scary Bedroom

It was on a weekend which had no special occasion related to it. My cousins had just moved into an old home that was fairly cheap money wise. Reason Being was a young girl around 6 yrs old had been found strangely and died sprawled out in her bedroom. That's all we know about it. It just so happened that I was sleeping on the floor in that same room when I heard what sounded like laughter from a child of some sort. Thinking it was just one of my younger cousins playing I just forgot about it and fell back asleep. Later I heard it again by this time it was 11;00 and everyone was asleep. I got up and looked down the corridor to see if anyone was up. There was no one. On my way back to my sleeping bag to be surprised to see a white looking figure, to be hovering over my bag. It was just staying there when I guess just vanished when it saw me. I just wonder if it was the little girl or something else. Till this day I haven't went back to that house, but the other family members complain about lots of noise and strange happenings. They've grown used to it. Eventually it stopped they said but still they say there going to move out.
